I
remember Robby always begging for my peanut butter ball!
As much as I loved them myself, I would end up giving
it to him. As a joke, Sharon Commander and I also hung
a "huge" bra, that we found, on the antenna of his
Jeep. At first he was a little upset (after riding
around town before noticing) but afterwards, we laughed
about it for years.

Chris
and I were best friends at Daniel Jr. High. First
off, my mom use to think he was a girl when he called
the house, due to him having such a soft and sweet
voice. He was a kind individual who loved to have
a good time! I know he is missed by his family and
friends but yet we know he's in a better place.
Chris, you will always be in our memories!

Beth
was born on July 7, 1964. She was born with a

was on the waiting list for a year and a half, during
that time she made seven trips to Birmingham only to
be turned away due to the organs not matching or
various other reasons. She passed away on
January 31,2001 never having received the transplant
that she needed so badly. She left behind her
husband of 18 years, David Helms, who is also a former
classmate. She had two sons, Nick who is now 15
years old and Chris who is 11 years old. They

I
remember talking to Beth on the phone for hours at
the time. Sometimes it would be after midnight
before our mothers discovered us still talking and
would make us hang up.

I
first met Beth in kindergarten at River Road
Elementary and we were always in each others class.
We grew to be best friends and always did everything
together. I grew up in the neighborhood with
Beth and Kay Johnson Walker. We were like the
3 musketeers going to school together from River
Road to graduating together! It is truly a
miracle that you can tell someone that you have been
friends ever since kindergarten! It was so
hard to say good bye to Beth but I know that God has
a special Angel among him... So long Beth you
will always be in our memories.

Beth
was the sweetest, truest friend I ever had. We went
to school together from River Rd Elementary all the
way up to graduation from Jordan. From the 4th grade
up we lived down the street from each other and
spend some great summers together at each other's
house, and had a blast with all the other
neighborhood kids. I was able to get in touch with
her several months before she died. As weak as she
was from her illness, she spoke nothing negative.
Instead, she spoke of how wonderful her husband and
sons were to her, and how wonderful the churches and
people in the community had been to her throughout
her illness. Beth was a very loving and unselfish
person. I will always cherish the memory of her and
her friendship.

I don't remember
ever knowing Beth had a disorder. What I do
remember is that I always felt comfortable around
her and knew her as a good person. I didn't even
hear of her death until our 20th reunion in '02, but
whenever I'm reminded of it, I realize what a loss
we all share.
